What you need

  • A Doodle
  • dry-erase crayons
  • an eraser cloth

Steps

  1. Step 1 of 3

    Everyone gets a section

The core act: collaborative color-n-erase. Each child colors one section of the Doodle.

  2. Step 2 of 3

    Color it together

The Doodle fills as the class does — everyone's section, one character.

  3. Step 3 of 3

    Erase and go again

The cloth resets it. Same Doodle, endless versions.

Tips

  • K-1: color a square or section.
  • Grades 2-3: follow a color key.
  • Grades 4-5: plan the whole composition.

Evidence note: The Bowen & Kisida (2019) findings apply to grades 3-8; toddler and early-childhood motor claims rest on Yakimishyn & Magill-Evans (2002), Huang et al. (2024), and Ohl et al. (2013).

Compliance determinations are always the district’s or institution’s.
