Steps
Set the station
A "read to the Doodle" spot: the dog-therapy reading model, with a character kids already love.
Read aloud to the Doodle
One-to-one, at your own pace. The Doodle is a calm, non-judgmental listener — that's the whole point, and it's what builds fluency and confidence.
Keep the ritual
Same listener, next book.
Tips
- Works as a library drop-in station or a classroom reading-time fixture.
- Pairs naturally with partner reading — cross-age buddies reading to the same Doodle.
