What you need

  • A Doodle at the calm corner
  • dry-erase crayons
  • the calm corner's coping-skills toolkit

Steps

  1. Step 1 of 3

    Meet the Worry Doodle

This Doodle's job is to hold worries. Tell it — or write it — your worry.

  2. Step 2 of 3

    Give the worry away

The Doodle keeps the worry overnight. It's not yours to carry right now.

  3. Step 3 of 3

    Pick a calming tool

Choose something from the calm corner toolkit to reset with.

Tips

  • K-1: point to or draw the feeling.
  • Grades 2-3: name the worry and draw it; pick a calming tool.
  • Grades 4-5: write to the worry — and "talk back" to it.
